Colors: What else for July but Red, White & Blue?  Of course you can use your own choice of colors as well.

    Red:     

        Cut 1 strip 2" by at least 16"

    Blue:     

        Cut 1 strip 3 1/2" by at least 14"

    White:   

        Cut 1 strip 2" by at least 16"

        Cut 1 Strip 3 1/2" by at least 14"'

        Cut 4 Squares 3 1/2""

Sew the red strip and the narrow white strip together lengthwise. Cross cut into 8 – 2" pieces. Sew the Blue Strip and the wide White Strip together lengthwise and cross cut into 4 – 3 1/2" pieces.

Sew the Red & White pieces together in pairs to make 4 four-patches. Sew the Blue & White pieces together in pairs to make 2 four patches.

Sew 2 of the red & White four patches and 2 of the white squares together into a four patch. Repeat with the other 2 Red & White four patches and other 2 white squares.

Following the color diagram, sew all the units together as a four patch.
